Meet Your Doctor

My passion for optometry was sparked by a personal experience with my grandfather, who developed an eye turn after cataract surgery. Seeing the life-changing impact of proper eye care inspired me to dedicate my career to improving lives through better vision.

After completing a Pediatrics and Vision Therapy Residency with Dr. Mitchell Scheiman at Salus University, I joined the faculty at SUNY College of Optometry, helping train future optometrists. Later, as Director of the Optometry Residency Program at BronxCare Health System, I co-founded the Primary Care and Ocular Disease Residency Program and created the hospital's first on-call emergency department program for optometry residents, providing critical hands-on experience in acute eye care.

My commitment to pediatric care led me to establish the first Pediatric Optometry Clinic at Mt. Sinai at Queens General Hospital. In addition to clinical care, I've contributed to the profession through publishing clinical articles, lecturing at continuing education programs, serving as a research examiner for the Convergence Insufficiency Treatment Trial (CITT), funded by the National Eye Institute, and authoring The Pediatric Eye Exam Quick Reference Guide: Office and Emergency Room Procedures, a trusted resource for eye care professionals.
